Oklahoma Wineries and Wines

Trek, taste, and learn about Oklahoma's emerging wine industry at the Canadian River Winery, south of Norman. A tour, lunch, tasting, and discussion are all planned as part of this informative fun field experience. Discussion topics will include soils, hydrology, and climate as these relate to various grape varieties, growing practices, and the production of wine. With approximately 30 established wineries and more to come in Oklahoma, the Southwest region's impact on the wine industry is sure to have a noticeable "blip" on many wine skeptics’ radar screens. Join us for a tour, tasting, lunch, and discussion from local experts. The cost will include all travel, activities, and handouts. Lunch will be in a local award-winning restaurant (participants purchase their own meals).

Leader: Dr. Gary Gress

Time: Saturday, October 28, 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Cost: $15.00
