Peer Advocates

Peer Advocates are here to assist you and to provide you with a student’s point of view about our degree programs, class assignments, and life on campus at OU.  Please do not hesitate to contact the Peer Advocates if you have any questions about student life in the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences.  Peer Advocates are your link to the College’s Student Services Center; they are an excellent channel for you to bring forward suggestions, improvements, or activities for the College.

Peer Advocates are students majoring in Geography or Meteorology who are employed by the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences to assist at events like Convocation, the College’s annual Awards Ceremony, Sophomore Spotlight, and Sooner Saturday, to name just a few.  Peer Advocates are also responsible for writing, editing and distributing the College’s weekly online newsletter, “Monday Memo,” as well as maintaining College displays in Sarkeys Energy Center and the National Weather Center.
